6. PHARMACEUTICAL PARTICULARS 6.1 List of excipients Core of tablets: Sodium croscarmellose Colloidal anhydrous silica Macrogol 6000 Magnesium stearate Keppra 250 coating: Opadry 85F20694 which contains: Polyvinyl alcohol-part.hydrolyzed Titanium dioxide Macrogol/PEG 3350 Talc FD&C Blue #2/Indigo Carmine Aluminum lake Keppra 500 coating: Opadry 85F32004 which contains: Polyvinyl alcohol-part.hydrolyzed Titanium dioxide Macrogol/PEG 3350 Talc Iron Oxide Yellow Keppra 1000 coating: Opadry 85F18422 which contains: Polyvinyl alcohol-part.hydrolyzed Titanium dioxide Macrogol/PEG 3350 Talc Keppra oral solution: Purified water Maltitol liquid Glycerol 85% Acesulfame potassium Methyl parahydroxybenzoate Ammonium glycyrrhizate Sodium citrate Grape flavor Firmenich Propyl parahydroxybenzoate Citric acid monohydrate 6.2 Incompatibilities Not applicable. 6.3 Shelf life The expiry date of the product is indicated on the packaging materials. Keppra oral solution: Shelf life after first opening: 7 months 6.4 Special precautions for storage Keppra tablets: Store below 25°C Keppra oral solution: Store in original container, below 25°C. 6.5 Nature and contents of container Keppra 250mg, 500mg and 1000mg film-coated tablets are packaged in aluminium/PVC blisters placed into cardboard boxes containing 10, 20, 30, 50, 60, 100, 120 and 200 film-coated tablets. Not all pack sizes may be marketed. Keppra oral solution: 300 ml amber glass bottle (type III) with a white child resistant closure (polypropylene) in a cardboard box also containing a 10 ml graduated oral syringe (polyethylene, polystyrene), an adaptor for the syringe and a patient information leaflet. 6.6 Special precautions for disposal and other handling No special requirements.
