4.3 Contraindication Normiten, as with other beta blockers, should not be used in patients with any of the following: • hypersensitivity to the active substance, or to any of the excipients listed in section 6.1 • cardiogenic shock • uncontrolled heart failure • sick sinus syndrome • second or third degree heart block • untreated phaeochromocytoma • metabolic acidosis • bradycardia (<45 bpm) • hypotension • severe peripheral arterial circulatory disturbances.
