4.3 Contraindications As glycine is present in the formulation, Ultiva is contraindicated for epidural and intrathecal use. Hypersensitivity to the active substance, other fentanyl analogues, or to any of the excipients listed in section 6.1. Ultiva is contraindicated for use as the sole agent for induction of anaesthesia.
